Crafted to Your Needs
Recovery and “As Needed” Care
Sometimes we just need a little bit of help to get back on our feet, or to help maintain a vibrant quality of life.
When a family member has a recoverable injury, it’s easy to want to jump in and help, knowing it’s just for a short amount of time. But caring for someone with broken arm, sprained ankle, or a surgery requiring help with a wheelchair and bathing can quickly become burdensome, and often causes unnecessary stress on your relationship.
Many family caretakers who find themselves in this situation are also balancing challenging lives with work demands, crazy schedules for their kids needs, and their own health issues, and there’s just too much to do without sacrificing your own well being. You don’t have to sacrifice your own life and happiness to have the quality care and relationship dynamic your loved one deserves…that’s why we founded Altruistic Home Health!
With our customized scheduling and service options, together we will craft the perfect amount of care while supporting your relationship with your loved one.
We base our hours and services on the specific care your loved one needs right now, and we adjust accordingly as they improve. Let us take care of the “heavy lifting” of cleaning, bathing, or recovery exercises, so you can have quality bonding time of dining together or sharing in a fun conversation. Let’s give your loved one their best option for a full, speedy recovery without the guilt of feeling like burden on you and the family. It’s a win-win for all!

Moderate In-home care for Longevity
If your loved one is making many trips back and forth to various care providers,
spending all their time going from one place to another for their needs, or having trouble keeping up on their medical responsibilities to live a vibrant life, moderate care is a great fit for your family. We will tailor your care assessment to support ongoing health challenges, while giving your loved one more time to enjoy living their best days.
We structure our assistance plans to include a designated set of care providers, so we minimize disruptions and unscheduled changes of staff members. Your loved one will build relationships and trust with folks who know their care inside and out, so they are comfortable discussing changes in their health and are more amenable to maintenance procedures like blood draws and medication management.
When there’s regular care and recording of your loved one’s health status,
minor changes and challenges can be assessed and dealt with quickly before they become major issues, giving your loved one the best support possible to keep living they independent life they desire. From a few hours a day to overnight or even full 24 hour care, we strive to provide just the right amount of assistance, so your loved one can be as independent and active in their interests as they wish.
A few typical ongoing moderate care options are:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Diabetes Management
- Blood draws and Injections
- IV antibiotics

We’ve had family members who previously experienced private caregiver concerns that prompted us to hire caregiver agencies. Fortunately, and unfortunately, this is not our first rodeo. Darlene and her team are approachable and very easy to work with. Working with Darlene, you feel like you’re the only family she is taking care of, even though you know you’re not. Darlene and her team go above and beyond to make our family member feel special. We are managing our family member’s care from out of state which can be stressful. I have met all of the caregivers and they have exceeded every expectation. Working with Darlene, I have total peace of mind and don’t have to worry. Everything so far is exceptional.

Advanced Care
Dignity, honor, and respect are the founding principles of our advanced care because for us, there is no higher service than helping those in their final transition stages of life.
We believe the quality of days your loved one experiences as they near the end of their journey matter the most… for you, for them, and for your family. These are the memories that will stay with you forever, though your loved one has passed on.
Giving your loved one the comfort, care, and compassion they need to enjoy what time they have left is what drives our every decision in recommending, providing, and reviewing the services that will benefit them the most. There’s no denying this is a very emotional time for all involved, and that means supporting you with resources and caring, timely communication so you have everything possible to make the best decisions on behalf of your family member.
Because these are some of the most difficult times to navigate, we provided a dedicated team that’s on call for your needs 24/7.
No matter the time of day if you have a question or require information, we are there to answer the phone, responding when you need us. It’s what we’d want for our family, and it’s a gift we want to give to yours.
Situations involving advanced care include:
- Terminal illness
- Dementia & Alzheimer’s
- Around-the-clock-needs, hospice compassion
